Since Jinchuu....
Jinchuu changed everything. Shishou tried to teach me that change was good, and I may have finally learned that lesson to perfection. Kaoru and I have finally found our way to each other and are now happily married. We managed a short wedding trip to Yokohama. We could not afford anything more, but we had such joy of each other that more would have been too much. Returning to the dojo, Kaoru resumed her teaching of the Kamiya Kasshin Ryu at the dojo and I resumed my laundry, cooking and cleaning chores at the Kamiya Dojo. There must be a way for me to contribute more to our family finances. Kaoru works too hard and it is past time that she had help.

We are very happy here in Tokyo, but we know there are always challenges and surprises in life, so we know that there will be some for us, too. I can only hope that there will not be any more lingering enemies from the past to continue to haunt me. My days of using Hiten Mitsurugi are numbered, something I knew before Megumi confirmed it. I must choose my battles wisely, and avoid them if I can. I have been trying to do that for the last decade, but I hope that the coming decade will bring us more peace, more joy and more prosperity in this Meiji Era. It cannot bring me more love, for I already have that.
